We applied for spouse Sponsorship from canada in 3rd week of Sep 05....till date we have not heard from CIC.
Just checking what wud be the timeline for initial Sponsorship Approval.
I am India citizen and My husband is canadian citizen

Tricky question - I am a non-permanent resident of canada but married a canadian in canada. Now enter a progress in the relationship namely buying a house. As i am unable to work here being a non-permanent resident would i still be able to obtain a 1/2 split of property? If i was able to stay on would another country be able to get its dirty mits on my half in the event of me going bankrupt?
Any thoughts/answers?

First let me ask, Is this In-Canada class or Outside-Canada class sponsorship?
Currently CIC-M processing application recieved till Sept 26, 2005.

If you know for sure what date CIC-M received your application, then you can guess at what date they will process.
Check your application status online, by entering your Client ID or your internet paid receipt #.
