Subject: Related to Work permit Extension to CIC,Buffalo? |

Hi,
I am in Canada since last 1 year and had applied for Work-permit extension in 3 months back.(arnd 2 months before my work-permit was going to expire. As per the law, a person needs to apply one month prior to his/her work-permit expiry date). As per regulation I was on track.
But due to delay on CIC part, I have received my new Work-permit a few days back i.e. after 3 months. but there is a gap of around 1 month between the new work-permit and the older work-permit.
I had aplied for PR arnd 6 months back and was thinking of sending my new work-permit to CIC, Buffalo just to let them know about the new work-permit as well as to claim 5 points under adapatbility section as I have already completed 1 year working full time in Canada.
Now the question is whether I should send them my new work-permit only or should I send them Work-permit extension application as well proving that I had applied for Extension way back(3 months back). And it´s not my fault that there is a gap between older work-permit and new work-permit.
OR they can themselves understand this situation and can always check my file through their system whether I did anything wrong/not and as CIC has issued me new work-permit(i.e. extension), that proves that everything is fine ??
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Rahul

(in reply to: Related to Work permit Extension to CIC,Buffalo?) Don´t complicate it. Just send copies of your new passport date and/or work permit papers, may be with a cover letter. They know the possibility of a gap, I guess. But, once you apply, you are legal to stay.
