Subject: Voluntary help needed..Sub: Buffalo responds email
  hi there,

I got a response from Buffalo office for my status verification of my application. I was told that they are not able to provide an exact date of when the final decision will be made. This is not a standard response as I had got response for other personal question.

I guess the standard response tells 6 months for an exact decision, as I haven´t got a response like that do you think I can expect something in a month or two?

My timeline is:
AOR July ´04
IA April ´05
Medicals May ´05
Documents+ROLF June ´05

Could anybody comment on this? Thanks.

All questions are personal, dont worry. Everyone emails CIC for file status and everybody got the same response so its not special. Just chill! Even people with Feb 2004 AOR got the same response.

Good Luck

Hi Mountains,

My experience emailing Buffalo is that it is hit or a miss. One time they told me "sorry we can´t provide you with the information you seek" for a pretty generic question, another time they replied with the info on my work permit application. Just my two cents in.

PS No change in e-cas so far, just says "In Process."

We got on Sept. 6th, 2005 (IA Nov. 2003, Meds-expired 10 days ago):
"We have requested background information from other government offices(s). Unfortunately, we cannot respond to requests for the status of your application before this information is received".

I said personal means, I had asked them two or three other questions regarding my application which is unique to my case, I said they had answered that...

Does my question look like excited!!

My personal opinion:
There are certain number of standart answers that CIC has.
I even believe they even have a script file, which randomly sents replies to people´s requests. In some particular cases they call or send more personal faxes and e-mails.

Though it´s comforting to *hear* from Buffalo, it´s still useless without the brown envlop in the mailbox!

I´d rather leave them alone and let them do their work. Keep in mind that takes time to respond to emails too.

I got an e-mail saying they still need FBI police certificate for my wife. It was very brief(just one sentence) without any greeting but they mentioned my wife´s name as well.

hi, mountains. don´t worry too much, as long as u know u have done all what u supposed to do. I took the ME in the very early of June, 2005. and E-client change to Medical Received since Aug29th,2005, but still waiting for the PPR. My freind´s finished her ME in May,2005, also still waiting for the PPR, and on-line status didn´t change at all. I found from my freinds, for the recentlly bufflo case, almost nobody got the RRP for whom finish their ME in May and June, some E-client status shows"Medical Received" more than one month ago,but still waiting.
