Subject: To those done with Detroit Interview..pls help...
Hi there,

I got my letter of interview from my consultant...(one month delayed). With the letter is a list of documents like...fingerprints...police clearance...employment records....that I need to bring...is this just standard or is it being asked selectively...thanks

I have done detroit interview. This document list is generic. Dont worry about. Just try your best to prepare the list.

George,

Can you tell us how your interview went ? Any issues? Did you get the visa stamped? If not, what caused it to be not stamped?

Thanks

KG

The interview went very smoothly. It took about 20 minutes and she asked me a few questions. Most of them are routine questions. Then she asked me few job related questions. I answered them well I think. Then I signed the paper and she told me that she is gonna approve my application and since they dont have my medical result yet(I submitted 2 weeks before interview) I cannot have my visa stamped today but I can pay ROLF first. Then I paid ROLF and have been waitting for my PPR since then.

Thanks George.

A couple of quetsion more:

How did they check the medical status? Is it the CIC website or do they have an internal system where the details are updated? I have done my medicals almost one month back, but the CIC website is not yet updated.

On language skills - did you take IELTS? How did they give you points on language skills? Do they insist on having the IELTS scores?

Thanks again,

KG

I have no idea how many points they gave me for the language skill and no test is necessary. The officer checked from the computer and told me that my medical was not received.

Hi george....did you wait for the officer to ask for specific docs or you gave all the docs in the list altogether?

thanks
