I think this is not a spy country, isn´t it? If there are people spying at us here, I will ask to cancel my PR immediately! I hate government interference our daily life too much, you know what? I get used to those kind of enivroment too much when I was back to grade 12, internet just booming at my home country.
we have students were charged criminal record just because they wrote stuff on-line. you know what? fuck that shit, if Canada is like this, i gotta piss off and leave soon

Yes, that´s true. We respect eachother here, and language like that is not what we consider respectful.

If you don´t like Canada, don´t go there.

Hey DB, We gotta differentiate between whether CIC is spying or CIC is working behind the scenes to make sure whether you are a clean citizen.

You know what, we are from different country, Canada is giving us Permanent Residence, virtually citizenship (after a few years) which is a big big thing, which is not present in a lot of countries (example Gulf countries even you work for lotta years). This I consider sacred blessing. It is like, adopting a child (or grown-up in lot of cases).

If they are adopting, or giving a nowhere person citizenship, I absolutely support whatever they do, background checking, (whether it be spying or whether they are making sure you are a clean citizen) because without knowing whether you are a good guy how can they give your PR? Come on why should they do? They want clean record people, thats what they are doing. I absolutely support whatever they do...Thanks for listening to me.

Long Live Canada.

hey guys... DB is OK. Departure Bay is the name of the place where he lives. He used to use his real name until stupid posters on this site started to make rude remarks and send him emails. Wish I had chosen an alias too.

Yup, sometimes DB does not choose his words very well. that is what happens when you do not have formal english training and perhaps a few beer. For the most part, he is just young and sometime a little naive. Both are not criminal offences in Canada.

Sharon .. i do not know the reason why you have come out supporting wholeheartedly for DB but if he is young... you think we´re old... and since when did age get a person maturity.I have seen you numerous times taking people to task over their criticism of the system. Looks like you turned a blind eye towards DBs words. Something looks fishy.

Thats Canada. FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I don´t see anything wrong on what DB commented. Moreover nobody has the right to dictate terms for others on what he should be doing. Canada is a free country.

What DB has commented is, he is exercising his freedom of speech.

Thanks for the time. (Hope my comments doesn´t raise any issues here)

I am not in whole hearted support of DB. you will find old postings where I take him to task about his language skills and comments. His crime here today was a poor choice of vocabulary which prompted several responses suggesting his PR application be cancelled. little harsh I would say. Nothing wrong with the intent of his comment. He was saying he left a police state and has no interest in being part of another one. What part of system bashing is that?

nothing fishy going on.

Sorry guys, haha, it´s all my swear words. I am sorry, compare with you guys, I am not professional people never swear in the working place.
I am not trying to say that CIC should not do background check or security check. I just don´t like administrative spies forum since nobody encourage violence here.

Departure bay is the place I live currently; Departure bay is also a song from local singer named Dianna Krall. She grows up in my neighborhood Halliburton Street I used to live, which is a drug town right now. Since I really like Jazz, after I came back from Jazz festival in Vancouver and listen to that song again, I decided to use departure bay.

please note that whatever I commented was, just a fact of general reference, not a fact of supporting DB. My inference was telling FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I don´t know who DB is...............
