Subject: Migrating to Canada
I just wonder why people want to migrate to Canada especially those that are in the US. Regardless of your status in the US, you people are still better off there than being in Canada.
In the US, you are protected by your inalienable rights regardless of your status. Even Illegal aliens can sue Wal-Mart. In Canada, yes you get your PR card but that doesn´t mean a thing compared to the hardship you will suffer. There is no opportunity in Canada and the racism and discrimination is openly tolerated by the govt. Canada is like one proud white whale that has nothing to be proud about.
Before you people decide to come to Canada, make sure that you have run out of choices because other countries are more welcoming than this frozen part of Hell.

Rudy do you live in the USA? I hope so. If so, what can you do for America? Why are you concerned with sueing wal-mart anyhow? Is that where you work? Are they not treating you properly?

I migrated to Canada from US because of my husband. If you don´t think the US is rascist then you haven´t lived there long. I know I´ve lived there my whole life.

Hey, I´m not a lumberjack, or a fur trader....
I don´t live in an igloo or eat blubber, or own a dogsled....
and I don´t know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada,
although I´m certain they´re really really nice.

I have a Prime Minister, not a president.
I speak English and French, not American.
And I pronounce it ´about´, not ´a boot´.

I can proudly sew my country´s flag on my backpack.
I believe in peace keeping, not policing,
diversity, not assimilation,
and that the beaver is a truly proud and noble animal.
A toque is a hat, a chesterfield is a couch,
and it is pronounced ´zed´ not ´zee´, ´zed´ !!!!

Canada is the second largest landmass!
The first nation of hockey!
and the best part of North America

My name is Joe!!
And I am Canadian!!!

It is true that the US is a pretty amazing country, and that her citizens are indeed fortunate. However, consider: we have lived under a dictatorship for 5 years (if you belive Bush was actually, legally elected--twice!--please read more), we are loathed (rightfully) around the world, we engage in illegal wars, we are blindly destroying the environment, we believe our "god" is superior and will stop at nothing to "prove" it. The list is never ending, but this, thankfully, isn´t a political board.

Despite all this, my decision to move to Canada has nothing to do with rejecting the politics of the country I was born into; I am not, despite my beliefs, a Bush refugee. My decision to move to Canada began in 1992 when I first visited Toronto, and has been re-invigorated every time I visit your wonderful country (several times a year, when I can swing it). I´ve travelled through many provinces, and feel so at home no matter where I am, feel so at peace and proud to be there; it literally gives me goosebumps. I am hardly idealistic when it comes to moving to a new country, and know full well that no country is without faults (see US); however, I believe completely in Canada and what she tries to be. And I would be proud to be part of it, and to call myself a Canadian.

Very well said all of you. No country is superior is another. Eery piece of land has it´s own problems and so its critics.
So, no offense to anybody. As a regular/ very normal person who wants to live a happy and worryless life. suggest me, should i live in Canada as I have PR or should I get my H1 visa and come back to USA and stay here 3 yrs out of 5 yrs period..please suggest me.
