I have send the application on 4 July 2005, by courier from Chandigarh to Delhi. When will i get the confirmation from Canadian Embassy?
When will they open the file? And by when can it be expected to complete the whole procedure? Please help me with the approximate dates, so that i can plan my future.

File No. will take two months to get
Whole process will take 3-4 yrs

Hope u will get ur first letter by 30 of this month
Then u have to wait atleat 3years for interview, then another 2 month for medical and 2-6 month for PP request, 1-3 months for visa. ok, everything depends on luck.

Dear Ash,
You have not mantioned which cetagory you applied for.At present Time line for SW is 40-52 months from New Dehli. Moreover, future processing times may not be the same as past processing times. The length of time it takes to finalize applications may vary from time to time.

give it about 3 and a half to 5 years..anywhere in that timeframe depending upon how precise ur documentation is and how lucky u are and what kind of officer ur file is with and how long ur background and security checks take..so i would say on an average minimum it will take 4 years from the time you applied..so if u dont have a bachelors degree go get a 4 year bachelors degree because u literally have that much time :-) and also if u do have a bachelors then u can go get 2 full time masters 2 year master degrees...allright..good luck..

Thanks everyone for the replies. I have applied for Skilled Worker Category. My qualifications are B.E (Electronics & Communications) + MBA (Marketing). Also, I have 4 years of experience.
