Yes you can request you CAIPS anytime you want. I prefer that you request your CAIPS after knowing that you are having an interview (after receiving your IA) to know the reason for this interview.
Good Luck.

How do we request CAIPS? Is there a specific way to do that?

Thankx Anonymous for your response.

Note: you (or your representative) must be _in_ Canada in order to apply to get CAIPS notes

If you are not in Canada visit www.caipsnotes.com OR www.caips.ca to get your notes. It will cost you approx. US$30 to get them.

As mentioned earlier please DO NOT order your notes unless:
1) You have been called for an interview OR
2) Interview has been waived and it has been 3 months (At least) since you got your medicals done.

Why should not I order the CAIPS notes without the above reasons? Will that affect my application?

Because you will not get any useful information and you will be wasting you money and CIC´s time.

It does not effect the processing of your application BUT every time you order an entry is made in your notes.
