Subject: Work experience in Canada: |
My post-graduate work permit began on 25 july 2005 and will end on 25 july 2006. Due to some situation, i must leave the job in june 2006. So i wonder if i only worked for 11 months, will CIC count it as 1 year work experience for skilled worker class?

(in reply to: Work experience in Canada:) If you can stretch your work experience to July 1st 2006 it would be helpful. On the skilled worker application form, they´ll ask for your month range - For eg: July 2005-July 2006. Otherwise I´m afraid you might run into trouble.

(in reply to: Work experience in Canada:) If you are working in Canada then you can apply just after 3-4 months of starting the job. Just show the work permit which should be valid for the whole year.
Usually if you are working in Canada the CIC is a bit lienient and you should not have problems.

(in reply to: Work experience in Canada:) I disagree.
At the time of making PR application one should´ve ALREADY qualified on the points. If you do qualify (67 points), it doesn´t matter how long the Canadian work exp. is going to be valid for. But anyways having work permit would definitely help one´s application processing.
