Subject: Adding Spouse during PR process
  Hey guys,

I have recently completed my medicals and now planning to get married next week to my long time GF who is in canada on student permit.
My Questions are:
1)i have processed through Sask immigration nominee program. Do i have to get a PNP for her to? before adding to federal?
2)Can i send all the documents along with police clearance and medical when i send my marriage certificate? or do i have to wait for them to request those information?
3)is the delay approx 6 months as many ppl mentioned?

Has he been in a common-law relationship with his long time girlfriend? Ever lived together for more than a year?

Obliged to inform CIC if there is any change in the information provided in the immigration forms.

if the wedding is next week, you are obliged to inform CIC of your change in status. You can choose or not choose to add her to your application. The decision becomes, accept a delay in your application so she can be included in your application OR... change your status, do not include her in your application but sponsor her once you land.

How long to add her to your application - really hard to tell. I would suspect 3-4 months but they may be able to tell you more specifically.

If you choose to change your status, land and then sponsor, there are some risks involved. You may not qualify, she may not be approved, you may not be able to prove that the marriage is not to obtain status for her.

If you can stand it - I would be inclined to marry her and add her to the application.

Let´s see what Roy says.

Is he going to declare her at port of entry or not supposing that he would sponsor her after he is landed as PR?
