(in reply to: To Roy) has your wife been approved as sponsor? that comes first. then it will go to Abu-Dhabi, where you will wait your turn for them to review all your documents and make a decision.

To Sharon (in reply to: To Roy) Hi Sharon,
She has already been approved and my file was sent to Abu-Dhabi on 02-Feb-2011.They requested few more documents of my wife, like tax papers T1 and T4 etc. I have submitted all those.
Now the status on ecas
We got your application on 02-Feb-2011
we started processing your application on 12-Jun-2011
Medicals have been received.
What would be next and how much time would it take? My medical will expire Nov-2011
Thanks

(in reply to: To Roy) Hello, I realize these posts are a bit old but thought I´d give it a shot.
I landed in Canada as a PR in 1999. Up until that time, I had answered all arrest questions on my applications as "no". I had been in trouble, once, for prank phone calls (technically disorderly conduct) at age 14. No charges were pursued, no court appearance, and no problems with background checks, although I assume a fingerprint record exists. Now, I am terrified that by having answered like this, I can lose my status for misrepresentation and be deported. Is this realistic? What can I do?
