Once a landed immigrant Status has been granted, is it unlimited regadless of presence or absence of grantee in Canada?

(in reply to: Landed Immigrant Status) Presence..yes that is why it is called Permanent Resident, so you can permanently reside in Canada.
Absence.. no...in a nutshell you have to be residing in Canada 2 years in a 5 year period in order to keep your status.
Absence is no longer an issue once you become a Canadian citizen. But that is another story all together.
