Subject: Landed Immigrant Status
Once a landed immigrant Status has been granted, is it unlimited regadless of presence or absence of grantee in Canada?

Nowhere in the world it is unlimited! Absence will make you lose the status pretty fast.

Presence..yes that is why it is called Permanent Resident, so you can permanently reside in Canada.

Absence.. no...in a nutshell you have to be residing in Canada 2 years in a 5 year period in order to keep your status.


Absence is no longer an issue once you become a Canadian citizen. But that is another story all together.
