Subject: Need Advise....Thanks
  Hi All,

I have been planning on leaving Delhi to go to either Australia or Canada for almost 2 months and gathering information. I think I am pretty close to making a decision but have a few questions:
1. I am 38 years old, grade 12 education, married with 2 kids. I know with my skill level, I won´t qualify under FSW. The only way I can move to Canada is to apply under Study Visa and after 2 years of studying there, maybe get a job and apply under PNP. Question is if I have the money to show and ILETS band score and Letter of Acceptance from a college in Vancouver, what do you think my chances of Visa Success?
2. After all the racial attacks on Indian Students in Australia, do you think its worthwhile to go to Australia?
3. Education wise which country is cheaper. Canada or Australia?
4. Does Australia offer anything like Canada as far as PNP goes?
I would like to thank you all in advance.
Sumit

Canada is best. You cant compare Canada with australia and as you know whats going on there in Australia I will advise you try for Canada. All you neeed to succeed here is hard work only.If you think you can work hard you will be be successful.

Hi Priya,

Have you been to Canada? Can you give your experiences why Canada is better than Australia.

Education must be better in Canada but difficult in Sumit´s case to get visa. Australia can be easier for him.

Climate: Australia should be more warmer than Canada.

You can directly contact some of the agents in India and Canada who can help in managing for you to prepare for PNP class with arranged employment. Its expensive but possible to go ahead for Canada. Your agent will be able to guide you from there. It might cost you almost 5 Lakh Indian Rs. or 12-13 thousand Canadian Dollars.

I have no idea for Australia. you can search online for a forum similar to this one for Australia. You have to take your own decision.

Best Luck,
N

assistance for single moms (in reply to: Need Advise....Thanks)
hi,
i am a 33 yr old single mom to a 2yr old toddler. i am thinking of moving to Canada from Botswana to start an undergrad degree (thus would try for a student visa). 1. i was wondering if the Canadian government offers any kind of assistance to someone who would have my status, something like the US social welfare programme? 2. if there is, how would one qualify: after how long having lived there, what is the spacific assistance given etc?
thanking u in advance
