Subject: PR MOVING BACK
  HI

I became PR of Canada on 7 nov 2008 and came back after month due to some relationship problems with my wife.I have separated from my wife from last 6 months and i am in my home country.

My in-laws have sent false faxes everywhere.

I am planning to return back to Canada. Please advice do i need to inform immigration officer on landing about my martial status as i am not divorced till now.

can immigration officer question me about my Martial Status upon arriving in Canada.Since I am going back after 7 or 8 months.

I have Canadian Police report in which i was falsely implicated in domestic violence.I was not charged.

Please tell if immigration officer asks me about martial status should i show him that Canadian Police report.what should I reply.

Will it harm my immigration status in any way. I went back to my home country due to this incident as i was very upset with all this.

Now I want to start my life in Canada.

Please explain!!! I am tensed as immigration might get suspicious as
i have no fault.

What Questions can officer ask me upon my arrival. My wife was in Toronto but due to DV case I will land at Vancouver airport.

let me understand - you allowed your Canadian spouse to sponsor you and you landed in Nov 09. 30 days later you went home because you could not stand living together and you are 100% not at fault.

Now you want to come back to Canada, make no attempt to reconcile with your spouse, and start all over at the other end of the country.

I am having a hard time buying this. Why not just say you married for convenience and are now wondering if the truth will become obvious when you get back.

that is what CIC and border officials will assume so plan accordingly.

If you have your PR card in hand then immigration officer won´t ask you about your marital status in usual case.

However, if someone reports that your marriage was false then it can be a different story.

Just problem with your spouse..or even he/she divorces you..like scenario shouldn´t matter.

if the information about your misdeeds is on computer, it just might show up when they look for your info and if that happens, you will have to return. Best option would be to show up with a return ticket, just in case you are barred from entry.

not knowing what´s going on exactly...what the immigration officers know about ur story...ur best option is to try to go back and have a plan B in case u´re not allowed to enter, meaning don´t stop ur life in ur home country.

My friend I can assure you this: you need some major legal help to get you out of this mess; I know you abused your wife and have been an a**hole but we know that it was not intentional. You were merely reflecting a different upbringing in a different culture. Now if you want to be represented right at the airport (to avert any violence against you and smooth your walk thru the customs), let me know. We can find an attorney for you. The kind of mess you are in (with all the info already provided to all relevant agencies by your ex) is not a simple one so it is definitely going to cost ya a few precious dimes.

If you are a permanent resident it does not matter that you are seperated from your wife. You will be allowed to enter Canada. Your marital status does not matter.
