Richard will you be in the front of the crowd at the inaugural tomorrow?

Sure will, Roy. Look for the guy in the front row with the maple leaf emblem on his jacket. But being a native Chicagoan, I can´t help but feeling proud of our home town guy.

What a day. I remember a bunch of us here debating with intense interest over the past year or more who´s best qulaified and who´ll win. But we were all in agreement - the current occupant had to go. And our hopes are finally realized.

someone needs to feel sorry for me. I have to wake up at 6:30 to watch this party and I am sooooo not a morning person.

Richard - enjoy the magic. I am praying for a safe day.

This is such a love in on CNN that I can not remember them reporting on world events last night.

Enjoy

My lady got a nice position so I´m happy.

I´ve been off line for a few days so I guess I´m out of the loop--Richard, are you really in Washington?? Oh man, I´d be SO envious!

Today I will spend much of the day in front of the TV watching one of the finest hours in my country´s history. I´m almost as nervous as I was on election day.

It´s been weird to be tucked away up here where no one is interested. It makes the news, sure, but not the buzz. I´m sure that much less the case where Roy and Sharon live.

Have a fantastic day, Richard, wherever you´ll be celebrating. I´m out of American beer, so I´ll send out a big toast with a mug of coffee, facing south.

I´m not really in DC, but am in spirit. Cheers Wannabe, Sharon, Roy, and all others here with the same hopes realized. Raising my cup of Kenya AA java in a toast facing north.

It is a TV love fest here, for sure. I´m interested how you guys find fellow Canadians reacting. Maybe up in the corners of NB the interest is there, but just a bit more reserved.

By the way, I keep scanning CBC news for word on the Liberal-NDP-BQ coalition that was supposed to be brought up again in January, but nothing. I guess I´m hoping change happens up there too.

Anyway, enjoy the day everyone.
