Subject: Please dont avoid this question

Hi my friends. I´m from India.i have completed my engineering degree in Electrical & Electronics in 2007 and i have worked in India for one year. Now I´m in Saudi Arabia for last two months as Electrical Engineer.I would like to immigrate to Canada for work and settle there.
My question is

1)Is it a good job market for an Electrical Engineer in Canada with 1+ years of experience? Or shall i have to wait for acquiring 1 more years of experience in Saudi Arabia and after that apply for immigration?

2)i think i would first apply for the permanent residency in Canada and then came there and search for the job. IS it a good idea or first i have to apply for job and after that just apply for PR.

3)How much fund should i have to show to Canadian officials in order to get the PR status. ( exclude the process fee & others )

please kindly give me the details my friends.I have asked all this in here, because i don´t have any friends or relatives or even any body there in Canada.

please help me my dear friends......thanks everybody in advance....

1)Saudi experience won´t help to get a job in Canada.
2)Try to get a job ( if you are lucky enough) and then try for PR.
3) www.cic.gc.ca

Good luck.

1- Market is good but you won´t be able to work as a Professional Engineering as soon as you land, you have to work in your provincial license to practice and it might take up to a year or more. You mmight be able to find a suitable job but you are going to have to work under the supervision of a P.Eng.

No ring - no stamps in the desings.

2- Go to www.cic.gc.ca , do the self test to see if you qualify for a PR status and if you do, download the applications and apply from a country where you have been legaly admitted for a minimum of a year or your country of nacionality.

3- If you are the only applicant you need a minimum of $10,000 if more family members are going to immigrate with you look at the application forms and follow the instructions.

Engineering is regulated by the provincial Government, so requirements may slightly change between provinces. (However basic requirements are the same)

Cheers

Bill
