Subject: Decision to be made
Hi all, I am new to this forum, I am posting here because I need some advise; I applied in Aug 2006 via HK office (they start to process my case on Oct 24, 2006), I still haven´t heard anything from them, except they sent me a letter 2 months ago, requesting address of my relative in Canada and update 5 photos of myself, since I have been recently admitted to this school in Canada, I am deciding whether I should go as an international student first, or wait, the reason is....tuition, one year alone (as an international student) can actually pay 3 years altogether, as I am not particually rich, I don´t know what I should do. What is my chance of getting my PR before then (I am thinking whether I should decline my admission offer)? Anyone cares to guess how much longer it would take? Thank you so much!

I question this myself, why would anyone that has a BA,BS degree apply for a student visa instead of PR, true the wait is longer but the tuition differences makes all up for it if you were admited to the school again chances are you will be admited again, Economically speaking i say you wait, as long as you dont mind staying in HK another year or so in the long run it will pay off.

I hear you Enrique, but how long should I wait? I have been waiting for quite some times now, I don´t want to put school off any longer as I am not getting any younger, if the wait isn´t long (as in a year), then I will wait. Otherwise, I don´t think I can afford to wait any longer. Thanks.
