| Subject: when do u become an immigrant |
Greetings,
I am wondering when would one be officially considered an immigrant? Is it when I would receive my passport back, stamped with a visa or is it when I present that visa at the port of entry.

I would say you become an immigrant once you have immigrated, i.e. landed in your new country.

AFTER LANDING IN THE COUNTRY YOU ARE IMMIGRATING YOU GET YOUR PERMANANT RESIDENCE STATUS....IF YOU DO NOT LAND WITHIN THE REQUIRED TIME YOU LOSE YOUR VISA AND GAME IS OVER!
