Dear all
Yesterday I got a call from the embassy in berlin at my work (surprise!?). The officer told me that he just wanted to check the topic "work experience" in my application (I am the principal applicant). I was very surprised, even shocked because we didnt receive any letter/any news from cic after having received our AOR in Sept 2005 (!). This is the first "move" from berlin since that...
Now I am not sure if it is a good or a bad sign that I got the call... I tried to ask him out on the phone but the officer told he is not allowed to say anything else, we still have to have patience...
What do you think? Any experience with calls like that? What about CAIPS now? Should I order Caips, maybe there is more information about our application...
Thank you
cheers
lucia

(in reply to: call from embassy) CIC is just trying to confirm that whether you are actually working there or not. This is a normal process. This is usually done when your work experience documentation is not able to satisfy them for some reasons or can be done as a routine check also.

(in reply to: call from embassy) You should be happy!!!!!!
I?m praying to receive such a call!!!!!!!!!!
Of course it?s a very good sign, it means as I think, they started to do something concerning your application.
CAIPS my be helpful in this stage.
Good luck.
