Thanks Almost Perfect and Bill for your response.

Please see question (After landing in Canada, what if I need to return to my country to settle my affairs?)
) in the link:

http://www.settlement.org/sys/faqs_detail.asp?faq_id=4000181

and advise your opinion:

Do I require Travel Dcoument after landing in Canada if I need to return to US to complete the remaining H1B time(two years left)?

Thanks,

Srikant

Srikant, it is very clear that you must wait till you get your PR card to re-enter Canada.

It is also clear that if you leave and apply for a travel document outside Canada, its upto the visa officer to issue it or not. So, thats the risk you will be taking. This clearly means that you may also be refused the travel document totally at the discretion of the Visa officer although it is not mentioned as such.

The question here is: Can you afford a refusal after all you have done to get immigration?

Weigh your risks and do what suits you best. Good luck.
