Hi!
I´ve been waiting for the visa 9 months now (when the file got to Havana). My DND date was 23 FEB 2007 but in January I got a email from Havana cancelling that date, saying they ordered security background checks and could note give me a DND date at this time. That was right after my visit to Immigration in Havana.
I ordered my CAIPS notes and just got them.
It says that the relationship appears to be ok and that interview is to be waived. That´s really good news. The Bring forward file date is LRG 18 APRIL 2007 and it also showed that the medicals expired DEC 2006. But I don´t see nothing about the status of the security check.
When ordering my CAIPS notes I had also contacted my MP and spoken with the secretary who after contacting the Visa office, told me that the file appeared ok and that she would request the status in about 2 weeks.
What do you think? Is it reasonnable for me to hope that he will be here for the Jazz Fest (July)this year?
Should I contact them in order to get the medical forms?

France contact the Embassy via e-mail and demand they arrange for him to come in to get a note so that he can have another medical done.
I did that for my client and then we got a request for payment of RPRF immediately. Then we wait again so I started YELLING at them. I got an e-mail two weeks ago stating that they would be finishing the application last week and we have heard nothing.
The odds that a security check would take more then a second (computer check) because it is highly unlikely your partner has been a world traveller.
They (HAVANA) are a serious problem.
