Hi Forum members
I filed my case for PR to CIC islamabad on december 22, 2004 and recieved AOR after one week.Since 2004 i am waiting for any further update from CIC but no update in this regard...
What do u people recommend me at this stage ? should i go for CAISP notes or i wait ?

Processing times are 56-60 months you are no where even close yet! http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times-int/02a-skilled-fed.html
Depending on your personal circumstances I suggest trying to go after a PNP certificate. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/times-int/04-provincial.html here is the processing link for Islambad for PNP applicants. 4-10 months is far better then 56-60

When a potential immigrant wishes to immigrate to Canada their are several options depending on the persons personal circumstances.
First place to look is www.cic.gc.ca then the left side to immigrate....
Skilled Worker, Business Applicant, Provincial Nominee Program, Quebec Immigration and sub categories in most of them.
PNP offers business/manager type options which can be further improved upon depending on agent/representative options or SW PNP depending on an offer of employment.
Malik this is all explained on their web sites or mine. The province normally requires an exploartory visit and an interview where the applicant must show an intent to live/reside in that province once becoming a PR.

Dear Malik,
My case is logged in Islamabad and processing started on 25 Oct 2004. Few days ago when I sent an email to CHC Islamabad regarding my case status, I got the following reply:
"Bonjour
In reply to your email please be informed that the file is in processing queue,currently we are finalising the cases received in 2001, so wait for the completion of the process
Sincerely"
I think my case will take 2-3 years more to re-open at desk.

I recieved approval letter from canada for the confirmation that my case has been approved for canadaian immigration for permanent residence in canada under family member category (SNIP)and now my case was sent to Islamabad CIC for further processing along with processing fee which is 550 canadian dollar i submitted my case on 24-03-2010 along with processing fee and the last date of submission of my documents is 05-09-2010 so i completed my documents earlier and send it to CIC islamabad to save my further time of processing. Now after all this processing how much time required for further processing.
Can u tell me that i submitted my documents through lahore GPO is it CIC islamabad received my application or not.

A facebook group has been created "Protest against Canadian High Commission in Islamabad"...
I would encourage everyone to join this group and discuss all your matters there, and then we should make a plan to approach top Government officials and news channels and start complaining about the stupid system...

CIC Islamabad is doing right thing. before lot of immigrants migrated with fake degrees and fake jobs, so now they are very careful and have 0 tolerance for such applicants.
before 9/11 , majority of Pakistani migrated to Canada on fake documents. so what do you expect now they will issue visas easily?

cic is continuously changing its pursuit towards immigration laws which turn fallacious from time to time from what they comment recent example is how they tried to fool people all over the world with their fast track and now their slogan is business class visa as they got the idea to mint more money
