After many years as landed immigrants my spouse and I applied for and received Canadian citizenship together. This was a no cost operation for me as I was not required to abandon my previous citizenship status. My spouse cannot hold two citizenships simultaneously and is considering the possiblity of reverting to landed immigrant status. Is it even possible? Does anyone have experience of this?

Where is she from? (in reply to: Renouncing Canadian Citizenship) Where is your spouse from --- just curious.

Renouncing Canadian Citizenship (in reply to: Renouncing Canadian Citizenship) Very many nations exclude dual/multiple nationality. In fact, after the lebanese fiasco, the Harper government may try to eliminate dual citizenship.

Renouncing Canadian Citizenship (in reply to: Renouncing Canadian Citizenship) Thanks big burp. As far as my wife´s place of birth is concerned dual citizenship is not possible. I am trying to clarify one point:- can a naturalized Canadian revert to landed immigrant status?
