The same person (IP address **.181.201.35). This guy´s got an anti-Canada ax to grind. So don´t expect a balanced or factual point of view.

This person hates Canada for whatever personal reason. My guess is an operative of the Bush administration.

Ok, Reality, you make some good points. But too many people "don´t give a fart" - as you say - about social issues like this, and that´s a problem. Then nothing changes.

I´ve listened to and studied both sides of the national health care debate for many years. The waste, inequality, and profiteering of the private system in the U.S. is what gets me. And when I see someone defending that system, I have to voice my opinion. What can I learn from them? - that one´s health should be treated as a commodity in the open market leaving those who can´t afford it get or remain sick? Not acceptable. Yes, poor countries such as yours deal with it as best they can, but a wealthy, first world, superpower such as the U.S. must be held accountable for ignoring 45 million of its own citizens who have no access to health care.

Thanks for your recent comments on your background as it helps me understand where you´re coming from.

Guys,

This web site blocks part of the IP and also with many ISPs and also public computers, one person may show up with the same or different ISPs.

Funny that there are people on here who are so determined to try to discredit those who have something to say about all the immigration lies in Canada.

Really.... do I have an axe to grind with Canada? LOL, that´s a silly way to paint the picture.

The Canadian immigration system and the Canadian society have made it sooo difficult for educated newcomers, that even a Canadian study on immigration that just came out shows this.

So, you don´t have to believe or disbelieve me, just read the study, and read the major articles in Canadian newspapers.

Just because the Canadian economy has improved somewhat, this doesn´t mean the situation for IMMIGRANTS and other non-Canadians in Canada has improved.

Why deny reality? My only axe to grind is the dishonesty in the system and among immigration lawyers and consultants etc whom do not paint an accurate picture to those whom they are assisting in the process of coming to Canada.

I have seen and spoken with well adjusted people, with high levels of education, whom have done everything and then some, and still not made it in Canada because most employers just don´t want to talk to a non-citizen.

if you are going to cut and paste articles about immigration you should paste them all.

also remember - ´if there is no blood... it does not make the front page.´

Richard, I missed part of your post...

Are you that stupid, that you think a president of the USA sent me here? I can assure you I never voted for him, and I doubt that you´ve thought out what you were saying before you said it, unless it was "tounge in cheek". I don´t know whether to laugh or not.

Really, the USA could care less if a few of its citizens come to Canada. Most Americans probably don´t think about Canada more then 5 minutes every five years, sad to say.

US companies are all over Canada anyway.

All I´ve done is tell my opinions, and share experiences of myself and others.

Also, I´ve posted copies of articles from CANADIAN NEWSPAPERS. You can look these up yourself in many cases, as they are usually archived in the web sites of these publications.

As for Canada, the only thing that bothers me is that they are so dishonest in letting people in on work permits and in many cases as immigrants, when it´s obvious that a huge percentage have a horrible time finding work.

It´s basically large scale theft....because the cards are stacks against most people.

And Richard, I am not defending the healthcare system of the USA. Again, you are reading too much into things.

I think that in some ways, FOR THOSE WHO ARE COVERED, it is better than the Canadian system. But of course, if Canada does more to improve the system, and reduce wait times etc...then maybe that will change.

I do think that universal healthcare that is properly funded, managed and staffed is the BEST way to go in the USA and all civilized countries.

But Canada´s system has a long way to go. And somewhere on here, I probably said that with conservatives in power in Canada long enough, they will probably move towards a private system like the USA. I don´t want to see that happen, but that´s just in the nature of conservatives in any country.

Please don´t misunderstand me....after reading your posts more carefully, it looks as if you somehow misunderstood me to be a right wing nut who hates those who can´t afford healthcare. Perhaps I mistyped something or perhaps you misunderstood my sarcasm along the way.

Nothing could be further from the truth....I care very much about all people, and I´ve personally known many people who have been caught in the nightmare of no health coverage in the USA.

But it is true that for single men who are healthy in their teens, 20s and 30s...healthcare is inexpensive in the USA. Policies can be purchased for as little as $1,000 / year. Also, if you have a good employer, you usually have good coverage.

But again, I fully support universal healthcare for everyone on the planet! It´s just that Canada´s system really is broken because depending on where in Canada you are, you can encounter horrible situations with massive wait times...that can threaten ones health.

The answer is simply to fix the system, fund it better, manage it better and hire more Doctors.

Better yet, let some of these immigrants doctors who are driving taxis in Canada get jobs too....
