I overstayed in USA for the last 5 years(lived without any status) and i finished my study here in the mean time. I have admission for my masters in a Canadian university.
Now i want to go to India and apply for Canadian student visa from there(because canadian consulate can´t issue me a visa while i have no status in USA). Can anyone tell me if my overstay in USA will take effect on issuing a student visa for Canada?

should be ok.

(in reply to: Overstay in USA---your opinion please) Ilegal,
It´s easy to stay in USA(specially in NY city) without status. No one will bother you unless you do any crime. 1000s of ppl r doing cash jobs here....it´s not that tough here as u think. Anyway, where r u from and what r u doing?

(in reply to: Overstay in USA---your opinion please) Stay there and pray that the new immigration reform bill passes through congress and signed into law by pres. bush. then you´ll get your amnesty and then you´ll be a permanent resident.
