Subject: got ppr! question pls
I got ppr from buffalo today!
my timeline:
app: Oct 2004
aor: mar 2005
IA: Dec 2005
Med and fingerprint: Jan 2005
ppr: today

some questions:
buffalo gave me a grey envelope and a letter with instructions. They said that I must mail my passport and the letter in that envelope. Considering the danger of possport lost, can I put that grey envelope in a express envelope frist or I MUST mail that directly?
Can I keep the RPRF receipt attached to the letter or I need to mail it back with passport?
The photo they require need date stamp on back or not?

Congratulations! I would mail it with expresspost and have a new picture with date stamp on it. I don´t know if it is a must.

I am in the US and received my PPR this week too. The instructions tell you how to mail the passports through the US postal service, I believe priorty mail and send a prepaid mail envelope (same service)so that it can be mailed back using the same service otherwise they will use the regular mail. You put the passports, letter WITH reciept into the gray envelope and then the gray envelope goes into the mail envelope. You don´t want to use regular mail in case it get´s stolen or lost. Get a tracking number for the envelope and make a copy of the letter AND reciept If you are in the US go to the Post Office with instructions and envelopes and ask an agent. Good luck.
