I live in US and recently applied to change of status(from H1b-F1) as my company is shutting down shortly and to maintain a lawful status in US till I move to Canada. I am waiting for my IA any time now. Should I inform CIC about this? Has anyone done this before or know any information reg. this?Please help.Thanks.

I don´t think it is necessary, Why complicate the matter, if later they ask you about W2 etc. you can explain.
