Subject: Spouses Medical Did Not Reach CIC Buffalo!
My wife´s medical was done on 12/29/05 and Doctor said he will take care of all remaining formalities (mailing etc.). But we received a letter on 03/29/06 saying Medical did not reach CIC Buffalo. Consequently, I am asked to resolve this issue in 90 days or the case may be terminated!!!

I am seking some advice as to how such situation can be dealt with quickly and efficiently? What can the doctor do to trace back the reports he may have sent?! What can I do to avoid termination?

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you

It is bound to happen with so many cases to take care of. It is human. It happened with me too.

This is what you do:

1. Ask the medical center to send CIC a copy of medicals, they have it. Ask them to courier to speed up. Also enclose a letter saying why you are sending them.

2. Call up the Medical facility in Ottawa to verify if they got the medicals or not - and if they did is it in the system.

In my case medicals were at the center they just forgot to enter in the system which they did later.

I had the same situation. I went to the doctor´s office and asked the date they mailed the medicals. I got the mailing date and called Medical Services in Ottawa (613-941-2170) for the information. It reached there two days after mailing. Thus I could know how long it would take the medical results to be uploaded. In my case the insincere doctor sent the reports after two and a half month of my meds exam.
If your med results are lost, you can ask the doctor to fax a copy to Ottawa but need to get your x-ray done again.
Hope this information will help.
Good luck.

Hey Mo can you tell how much time does the Ottawa office take to update the results after they receive it.

My results reached Ottawa on 6th of march 2006. Can i call to confirm it or should i wait some more time.

Take care

Hi there!
It is taking approximately four weeks to upload the meds in the system after receiving the results.
For the meds of 6th march, I would say you can contact Ottawa on 7th of April. Hopefully you will get some good news.
Wish you good luck.

I finally got a letter from Ottawa! They send the letter on March 27 (Medicals reached them Jan 12!). They instructed us for some additional medical exams. Atleast now we know the ball is still rolling!

I am wondering how come the Buffalo office does not have any information about it? They sent us the NO MEDICAL RECORD notice on March 29th! Any advice on if I should send a correspondence to Buffalo updating them on whats going on?

Thank you

Hi Alam,
I think it would be better if you send a reply to the letter from Buffalo.
