Hi all... Just curiousity,... i see that Indians are at the top of the list in this immigration business and I have also learnt that if they apply from india they wait for more than 4 years....even some 6 years...
I just want to ask why there are too many Indians leaving their own and probably beautiful country ??? Is this long waiting time really worth > ? Compared with your own life in India and Canada what are the Cons and Pros of living in both countries for you ?
Does life in India really suck that much > ? Or do people so poor ? I mean if so many leave India who will work for the people suffering there and improve the country ??? I just remember the words of one of our poets words for ´the love for once´s country´ and he says ´ if you do not suffer for this country and if i do not suffer for this country, who will take this country to a better situation´ ...
Do you guys feel that sending money from abroad to your relatives in India will really improve your country ? Becasue I feel all educated and valuable people (if they have the opportunity leave the country)
I am asking all these questions becasue I am very much interested in India and their culture and honestly want to visit the country one day ( hope soon) ..
I guess considering what I have read and seen about India this country is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, their beliefs, their cuisine, their castes all worth learning...
I will appreciate all informative responses..

Dear Turkishman,
what you have heard about india is absolutely correct - it is a beautiful country full of talent. It has more than 1 billion sons and daughters. If few thousand leave in quest of seing the world, is it that bad?
please remove the misconception from your mind that indians are emigrating to send money to their relatives.
Don´t judge any country or individual without knowing the facts. To answer your question: "Does life in India really suck that much > ? Or do people so poor ?", please look at economic statistics on web. FYI- india is fourth largest economy in this world.
And Yes, please do visit India when you get a chance. I am sure you will fall in love with country and realize how wrong your perception was.

Being the richest country even in statistics doesnt make the people rich in a country !!! The richest country I guess is bahrein or saudi arabia but that doesnt mean the people there are rich ... .. I have been to Saudi Arabia and met poor people there ...much poorer than any Turklish man... but statistically Saudi Arabia seems to be much richer than Turkey but the royal family gets all the dollars from petrol not Saudi people....No citizens of any country ( if the people are really that rich and if there are no education, social and politics problems ) go to another country for immigration.... How many Danish, or Dutch, or Spanish or Australian, or Finnish or swedish people want to immigrate to Canada how many have you seen >>>>???
Please read what I have said above and try to answer my question if you can, I will really be happy, I just want to learn why many Indians want to leave their country ...that is it...
In most immigration sites I see mostly indians, and even here I have noticed that most *not all ) people are from India so i just wanted to know the reaosons... Because I want to understand Indians and their culture ...
Whenever I say something about India you guys(who leave your own country for some reason) pick up the ´negative words´ and start taking a defence position... there is no need for that becasue I find india a magnificent country I just cant understand what the real reasons are that why so many are leaving that country ....
I totally do not believe such things when people say... India is a powerful country... so rich... people are so educated... it is a modern country... etc... come on we all know that that is bullshit... ..You should not take my words as offensive language, reality is reality...and it bites !!! Even (*although not many Turkish want to come to Canada as immigrants) in my country there is Bullshit and this is the reality ....
I would really be happy as an Indian if you very politely tell me the real reasons that make Indians move out of their country...
I guess this could be a great topic for any MA or PHd thesis ...i just want to learn all details about the country especially from the mouth of Indians... but please be frank and do not get offended or sad with my words... thanks to you and every one

between 1996 and 2000, these are te countries with highest number of immigrants into canada....
China
India
Pakistan
Philippines
South Korea
Sri Lanka
U.S.A.
Iran
Yugoslavia
Great Britain
does that mean anything to u..??
and of things still dont add up, consider the fact that the immigrants need to "qualify" to immigrate to canada...

Its nice to hear from you about india.what ever you said about india is some extent is correct.
"India is only the country that you can see any climate or any enviorment" no country is like that.
:fly 2 hrs see snow.(north india)
:fly 2 hrs see deserts.(west india)
:fly 4 hrs see heaviest rainfall in the world.(East india)
:fly 5 hrs see biggest ranges of mountains.
:Fly again 4 hrs see hot climate.(south india)
just fly and fly and see all climates.It seems to be funny but its true.

-- Those who wants to come out from india they all are normal person ,they are not the millioners.
-- some people are coming because there relatives are settled here.
-- some people think they can be better future in canada,they see the future and go back to india after learning lessons.
--India is the second largest population in the world.so many ppl´s but not so many jobs.
-- some people have somekinda problem in india..like politically or finacially,so they thought canada or anyother country is better.
They are lot of things that one man can´not describe,that why people are coming to canada or going to any other destinations.
foremost problems are political problems and castesim.

I just wanted to learn the reasons for many indians leaving their country, ....India or China or Pakistan ... being the first nation applying for immigration ..or being the second or first in the list is not the real problem or at least my problem ... Every one has his own reason ... I would say getting exposure to the world outside is good from the career and money standpoint. Those who come out of India, can make India prosper by setting up new businesses in India, using the money that they earn in the western world.
West has dominated the east in 19th and 20th century. They looted a lot of money through Imperialism. It is a high time for the Indians to go out, see the world, get knowledge, earn money and help India grow.

The labor is pretty cheap in India and are less paid and soo is the education. South India is the most educated state in India whereas North India is the least educated state.
Ofcourse people immigrate more for better education, and better standards of living, the developed countries (the gadgets, the cars, the electronic items) attracts the common man which are available at a considerable price. In US Most of the Indians work as a taxi driver (Of course They are paid in Dollar like 10 USD per hour and in India they are paid say 100 USD per month) so higher salaries to a comon man ofcourse attracts them.
Of course i do agree with a point of James. Some people are frustrated because of polical issues and never ending corruption in India. You wont believe governmet is wealthy but they save all the money in money laundering. These ****** Politicians i tell you.. soo the other countries developements and cleanliness attract the Indians to Immigrate be it officially or unofficially to developed countries. As Statistics Say Indians immigrate to the US, The Middle East, South Africa, UK, Pacific, China, but not Europe and Japan maybe because of high standards of living there.
But, this trend is changing now considerably after the economic meltdown as more jobs are opening up in India with good salaries in India so that part of people are being taken care of now. But still some people who do want a better taste of cleanliness and high society do still wish to immigrate to developed ones.
Being an Indian I want to stay in India all my life but if given the option i would wish to immigrate to NZ :) as its a wonderful country with hones people and very very clean infact a true heavan on earth. Been on NZ tour once and its still clear in my mind.
