Whad up guys.
I´m in the USA and I wanted to apply for the Police clearance for my family.
Myself - Indian citizen, but passport renewed in US.
Wife - Passport from India.
I am planning to apply at Indian consulate New York. My friend said they will give me my certificate (with passport) same day, but since my wife´s passport is issued from India, they will take a month to get the certificate. Could you guys please throw some light on the issue please ?
Also, I asked local police for FBI fingerprinting form and they said you have to ask the CIC guys to send it. The IA clearly states that I have to approach the local law agencies or authorized agencies or ask FBI by mail to send the form. The last option takes a while I believe. So, can someone please point me to reliable sources who can get the job done (preferably from New York area) ?
