Subject: Applied & accepted WITHOUT Proof of Funds?
Hi,
Did anyone apply and had his/her application accepted for consideration (filed) without an initial proof of funds?
Any stories are welcome...

everything I have read suggests that proof of funds is looked for at the point you are given a file number. If it is not there, you will either get a letter calling for the info (with a performance time limit) or you will get your entire package back without it every making its way into the CIC system.

this has also been the personal experience of my guy on a old CIC application

only person has work permit and currently working that job in Canada is allowed to provide application without proof of funds.

OR PNP, doesn´t need proof too

I applied for PR in 2001 without submitting proof of Fund.
I got interview call in May 2005
They asked me to come with proof of fund and original documents.
I got my medical papers in Nov 2005

Raheel, was your original application under the old rules - if so, I think that needs to be factored in to the answer, since 2001 the rules have changed.

I left a few blank places in my forms last year and my application was returned so I could fill in NA. I think you application would be returned as they ask for proof of funds with the application.

If you cannot provide proof of funds at this time ... write "To follow" for proof of funds. I did the same and my application got accepted.

If you are applying as skilled worker without a job offer from HRDC, i can bet they look into proof of funds.Otherwise no.Its as simple as that.
Dont be surprised if they verify your proof of funds also during IA.
