What is Grandparent's Day Holiday many are asking.
The First Grandparent's Day was celebrated in West Virginia in 1973. In 1978 the US Congress passed legislation proclaiming a National Grandparents Day. The month of September was chosen to signify the "autumn years" of life for this social holiday. That same year President Jimmy Carter officially proclaimed the first Sunday after Labor Day as National Grandparent's Day.

Why not make a special gift for either your grandchild or your grandparent for Grandparents Day? Possibly a movie that both of you will enjoy. Make a visit to your grandparents and spend the day with them for the Grandparent's Day.
