I think HK has lower taxes and higher salaries for managers. The city is more exciting and Chinese-Canadians won´t face the discrimination crap that occurs in Canada.

Max tax is 16% and a professional will earn >$100,000 easy but the price of living is as expensive as Vancouver. Also you can drink liqour anywhere you like (street, parks) anytime. For comparison a meal of Big Mac, fries and cola is $3.70.
