UofT generally sucks for undergrad. This is reflected in student surveys. Academics of the graduate school is otherwise soild due to a strong research orientation.

You can easily lose three hours a day commuting. Classes are huge and it´s difficult to find the prof when you need them. So is student life difficult? I´d say sometimes.

There are a lot of smart students at UofT but many are also clueless about what to do with their lives. I´ve heard it described as the **mindless masses** that is UofT. This is so true.

One would think UofT grads would be snapped up quickly in the today´s job market. This may or may not be true. Far too many UofT grads would end up in Seneca or other community colleges, unemployed, or coming to this forum to diss other schools to make themselves feel better.

Go to UofT if you are passionate about acquiring in-depth knowledge about a particular subject that greatly interests you. Just don´t think society owes you a job because you went to UofT or your degree somehow weighs more than the rest.

If you want to find a job and get paid for it, Seneca may be a safer investment because of lower risk associated with shorter duration programs. Besides, you can always upgrade later.

Queen´s, McMaster, Waterloo, and all other universities in Ontario are just bunch of community colleges comparing to UofT. They are community colleges that offer degrees, that´s all. No wonder UofT grads are employers´ first and favourite choice, because we are the best and smartest.

I just don´t understand why the Ontario government wants to establish so many universities! University education should be for the best and smartest students, right? Students with 60% averages can get into a universtiy in Ontario. WTF. The post secondary education is totally messed up here.
