Imagine Concordia as Chinese Industry and McGill as Japanese Industry. It may seem better to buy a product from China because it is new, cheep and available, but the Japanese product will stand the test of time (and also children didn´t work on it.)

This metaphor seems not to be working... well thats because I went to Concordia and like cheep Chinese products my education sucks!

better still, imagine mcgill as an ancient shrivelled prick which has serious problems getting it up, whilst concordia is a firm, throbbing, upstanding cock always ready for some action...

As a former mcgill and current concordia student i have to say mcgill is much better although i don´t necessarily think education at Concordia sucks. Why am I at Concordia? well i am lacking some prereqs for master´s and concordia offered a suitable program, so i guess it is a plus for Concordia for providing opportunities. However, compare where the profs did their phds, it is painful to read concordia´s list. As for huge class sizes, it may be a problem in the first year. I personally loved being in a large classroom during my first year, it was a different experience, i was in small/medium size classes for the rest of my education. McGill´s selection process is much tougher than Concordia´s (a lot of Concordians are there because they are rejected by McGill). As for being a brand name, well, of course it is, it is the university of Leacock and Mundell and do I complain? hell no. Concordia is getting better, however, it will take a while until it becomes an institution among Canada´s most prestigious.
