Seneca is much better. It is just that we r not ranked there since our category uis different and since we r too elite to be ranked in that crap.

hmmm, toronto getting knocked out of all categories all in one year... too unrealistic, one catergory maybe... but all four????!! no. obviously maclean´s are showing some anger with toronto losing them money but leading the others out of the rankings.

Yes, Waterloo is better than UofT, McGill, Concordia, and Seneca College.

Reputation is everything these days.

Newsweek and THES are irrelevant. Why? Waterloo only needs to attract the best from Canada, especially from Ontario. Their admission averages for their co-op programs far exceed McGill, Queens, UBC, and UofT.

Even Bill Gates knows Waterloo is the best in the world. Microsoft hires more Waterloo grads than any other school in the world.

There aren´t many companies as dominant as Microsoft in this world. Why do you think Bill Gates is the richest man in the world?

Waterloo is half or one-third as old schools such as: McGill, UofT, Alberta, UBC, and McMaster, but Waterloo already has a better reputation amongst Canadians than their older Canadian rivals.

Waterloo #1

^ Have you seen the crap coming out of Microsoft? There engineering (Waterloo students) is total crap, but there business model (Harvard & Standford) are great.

Yeah at the height of Microsoft hiring, the Canadian dollar was trading at 65 cents. Also Waterloo students had placed among the top ranking teams in the annual Microsoft sponsored ACM computing competition. Waterloo was a source of good and cheap labour for Bill Gates. With the Canadian dollar approaching par with the U.S., its a very different market now.

I get a chuckle every time a Waterloo student comes to this forum to brag about their ranking in the Maclean´s reputation survey. This is a survey that 9 out of 10 of those solicited, threw into the garbage. It is amusing a Waterloo student (of all students) would openly flaunt such a statistically invalid survey.

^ You wouldn´t have these doubts if it was UofT or McGill were posting such impressive results in Maclean´s reputation survey, would you now? Once a survey doesn´t go in your school´s favour, you doubt it´s validity. Your bias is so obvious.

^lol, I hope you did not learn your math and statistics at Waterloo. If you had tried to learn it, you probably failed miserably.
