It's easy for McGill to rank first in Macleans

Subject: It's easy for McGill to rank first in Macleans
McGill hired the former editor to the Maclean´s rankings issue - Anne Dowsett Johnson. She created the Maclean´s rankings starting way back in 1992, and only left the post last year to join McGill.

Mcgill knows exactly how to manipulate the figures to score extremely well in the Maclean´s rankings.

It´s a known fact that McGill´s American students are accepted with only a B+ and this isn´t factored into their averaging entering grade that is sent to Maclean´s magazine.

very creative, reject

but the truth is, Anne Dowsett Johnston left Maclean´s on bad terms. she was upset over sexist ads that were displayed in one of the old ranking issue. she says that that was one of the factors that led to her resignation. you can read about it here:

http://www.universityaffairs.ca/issues/2006/feb/macleans_ad_01.html

and the median GPa for american high school students coming to McGill is a 3.7/4.0

running out of ideas, reject? let me ask you, how good are the american students going to your lame ass reject school? and how does your school rank in maclean´s? let me give you a hint, it´s close to the bottom of the ranking.

McGill Wanker, I know the story behind Anne´s decision to leave Maclean´s, but why would McGill decide to hire her? Draw your own conclusion, people. It´s quite obvious.

It´s funny how you mention the median GPA of American students at McGill, but the truth is that their low SAT scores would only qualify them for nothing better than "state" schools, not the Ivy league schools you seem to always think McGill resembles. LOL

Concordia graduates a lot more CAs and CFAs than McGill. Also, CFAs and CAs pay a lot more than MBAs, so you can shove the MBA rankings magazine up your ass.

Try going to an accredited business school, McGill wanker.

let me ask you, how the hell does hiring Johnston benefit McGill in the rankings? Just because she was a former editor of Macleans? you´re pulling shit out of your ass and hoping it makes sense, again. READ my previous post. she left on BAD TERMS!! She left Macleans partly because of an inappropriate ad that was displayed in a previous ranking issue, this is what she had to say: ?It essentially undermined me in a very public way and undermined my good efforts of 14 years". So how does this benefit McGill that they hired an ex-editor that left on bad terms?? what kind of warped logic is this?

http://www.universityaffairs.ca/issues/2006/feb/macleans_ad_01.html

Low SAT scores? are you for real? Again, this reject keeps pulling shit out of his ass! Average SAT scores for critical reading, math and writing were all 680. students who score 680 in reading are in the 93rd percentile, in math are in the 91st percentile, and in writing are in the 94th percentile. and you call this low? what a fucking idiot! And i mentioned the 3.7 GPa because you specifically mentioned US students as McGill being B students, which again, shows that you pulled that straight out of your ass!

Concordia graduates more CAs and CFA´s? you need to back that up. and even if they do, it doesn´t say shit about the quality of your school. McGill could possibly have a limit on the number of CA and CFA graduates, who knows, it could be anything! CAs and CFAs make more than MBA grads? again, back that up, but i really don´t give a damn. McGill produces doctors and surgeons, dentists, lawyers and judges, prime ministers; what does Concordia produce outside JMSB?
again, you want to look at quality? look at the rankings; rankings are specifically designed to compare quality. sadly, Concordia doesn´t even show up in ANY international rankings, shows up at the bottom of national rankings, and since you´re so obsessed with JMSB, your own damn b-school can´t even make it on the rankings of respected publications such as Financial Times, Forbes or Business Week. And I´m surprised you keep mentioning the accreditation thing after being embarrassed in the very own thread you started on the subject. business schools are not required to be accredited and accreditation is on a voluntary basis, unlike med schools or engineering schools. accreditation eats up large resources and many schools couldn´t give a damn about it, such as the top ranked b-school in our country, Schulich.

Your school and your business school are a JOKE! your school and business school have NO REPUTATION outside of Montreal. it´s a reject school, just accept it already. no matter how many threads you make, you won´t change a damn thing.

don´t ever, EVER, mention Concordia in the same sentence with McGill and/or UofT. Unless, you meant to say: Concordia is for McGill rejects.
