It´s known to be a better school than UofT. Go check the G&B and Macleans surveys.

McGill and Queen´s are top two, both schools are for elite students. if you´re elite in your high school/cegep, you know where to go, no point in wasting your abilities by interacting with mediocre peers at uoft.

^ HAAHA elite!?

that´s funny.

have a look at UofT´s alumni and compare it to McGill´s and Queen´s, and you´ll know who had the ´elite´ students!

alumni doesn´t represent a general view of a student body. you´ll have to look at entering average grades of ALL students of a university to make a valid comparison. McGill and Queen´s, along with other schools like UBC are known to attract elite students in this country. UofT has 70k students, you call that selective and elite? it ranks like 15th in entering grades. the profs at UofT can do better than teach mediocre students.

uhh do you realize how many grad and professional students uoft has? or do you realize that uoft consists of three campuses? how about the amount of applications uoft gets compared to other universities? or how many faculty? ...

don´t be such a simpleton. it´s more than obvious when you look at uoft´s long list of famous alumni that the ´elite´ go to uoft.

actually, i´ve looked at the alumni lists and i´d say the elite DO go to McGill, Queen´s, UBC, etc.

so what if UofT has 3 campuses. if it´s part of UofT then we have to consider it. you don´t just disregard a part of your university that might not make it look good. the amount of applications? so what? you´re trying to tell me uoft gets a ton of applications yet they accept students that rank low on entering grades? that´s sad. how many faculty? what does that have to do with the quality of students. if anything, the quality of faculty at uoft is disproportionately higher than the quality of students. it´s really a shame.

Why did you get rejected then? Unless you´re French UofT is where it´s at. Everyone knows it´s Canada´s best university. If you´re some kind of sensitive artistic homo you might want a smaller, less scary school where you can kiss ass and get inflated grades, but don´t fool yourself..... employers know the difference. Yes, if you are born rich you can go anywhere and do anything and expect daddy´s business contacts to land you a job, but don´t pretend you´re something special. You´re just another spoiled kid looking for easy marks. Don´t forget your crayons and construction paper, you´ve got class tomorrow.

I am from Belgium; I have never heard of UofT. I only heard of McGill and to some extent Queens and UBC, and Alberta sometimes.

no, you live in your parent´s basement. you are obsessed with this forum. you are on it 24/7. you are obsessed with convincing the 3 visitors to this site that mcgill is better than uoft, even though the rankings and perception of the general public say otherwise. you will die a virgin and you will probably end up in jail for bombing a uoft building or something. that is who you are! lol.
