mcgill has been 1st in maclean´s for the past two years. uoft has been sinking (and is also not reputable internationally).

hey i respect uoft, its got great profs, but too bad their talents go to waste on mediocre students. uoft is like what, 15th in entering average grade?

^ haha dude it´s what like 3-4% difference between uoft and mcgill? look at 2003, mcgill had a lower entering average than uoft and it did many other years before that. at the same time the university of saskatchewan has an entering average of like 87%, does that mean the university of saskatchewan has brighter students than uoft? i don´t think so.

other than a slightly higher entering average, mcgill has nothing to brag about. uoft could easily raise their cut offs if they felt they needed to, but they don´t.

um no, mcgill regularly has higher entering grades than uoft.
and to reply to your question, yes u of saskatchewan does attract better students. uoft has great profs, but at 70k students they won´t raise their cutoff and ultimately this results in mediocre students. it´s a damn shame, those profs could do great research AND teach the elite in this country if only they went to McGill, Queen´s, UBC, etc.

UofT is only good for graduate students
their undergrads are mediocre
let´s face it
Ryerson and York also admit students with low marks and they are also stuffed

What propoganda! Such fuzzy math is expected on this forum from students with penis envy, not on an offical university website! My opinion of UofT has sunk to an all time low. Anybody can do math in favor of what they want to see. E.g. that kid who keeps posting his ranking of Western 1st and UBC 20th. Many politicians have used this form of propoganda in history with dire consequences. Now we know where UofT students get their crap, its spoon-fed by their school. Glad I don´t go to that school.
