No shame in admitting McGill is more popular down south. What do you expect when McGill has been spent more time and money than any other Canadian University trying to recruit down south? It has nothing to do with quality, and everything to do with marketing, cheap internation tuition, and a willingness to accept a lot of internationals.

Wait a few years more and you´ll see how things change.

I saw a show last year and the guest was talking about American competitiveness on the World stage and how its competitiveness was reduced because of new immigration laws following the 9/11 attacks. I am being 100% honest here. He said that alot of top international students were going to University in CAnada and New Zealand instead of the United States (like MIT, harvard, etc). He spoke of ONLY ONE SCHOOL IN CANADA! UOFT!! I was amazed. This guy is a professor at Harvard and he was saying that UofT was attracting alot of top international students. He was like:

"It is amazing how many top international students are studying at the University of Toronto..."

Not one word of Mcgill, not one.

^lol trying to justify UofT´s int. reputation based on some guy on charlie rose.

open your eyes, look at the number of kids on the mcgill forum and compare it to UofT´s. it´s not even a competition. UofT is simply invisible to an international´s eyes. it´s a no-name university.
