no no. lets not mix oranges with apples.

MIT is MIT. Engineering at MIT is not the norm. I know the engineering students at MIT are maths freaks but they are not the norm. The average engineer sucks at maths and the majority of them fail their calculus courses but the only reason why they eventually get a a pass is because the prof curves the grades up. Perhaps the engineering curriculum is difficult but the averages in the classes are like 40% and then its curved up to 70%. In essence, engineering is easy because engineering students are not that strong to begin with and there is curving up so alot of engineering students think they are smart but they arent!!!

40% is rather high.

I heard my friend said the engineers in his calc1 class only got 29% before curving.

The good thing about engineering is that you can always use software to do everything for you. Basically an engineer is software (like a robot).

Thats why they have such a hard time going from an engineering position to a management one because they are so robotic. "Me cannot make decisions without software but software not available for decision making in this sitution, me screwed!"

you must be retarded if you think engineers have a hard time getting into managment

hahaha, puhlease. Engineering students need to get an MBA to get into managemnet positions. They need to learn how to talk to others and realise that humans are not machines you can just control for your own purposes.

:)
