any university is better than seneca, seneca is a crap college to begin with. uoit programs don´t compare with any other ontario universities...yet. it will eventually beat out lakehead/nipissing/larentian/windsor/trent/brock/carleton/ryerson/ and many others in a few years, especially its engineering programs

dude... they alreadyhave an accredited engineering program... do you know how unlikly that is? even waterloo still has some unaccredited programs in eng, and York university(a damn good university by the way) has beebn trying to get accredation for a long time and been unsucessful.

If you ask me, UOIT has a bright future (although it will never be the next MIT)

York can´t get it´s engineering program accredited because it´s not demanding enough. Their space engineering aspect is interesting but they don´t want to force its students to spend 2 years studying the basics.

wow thats sneaky... UOIT has stuff all over the website hinting that its program is accredited when it really isnt... They even go as far as to say:

"Regardless of the decision of the accreditation acessment, UOIT graduates are eligable to apply for an engineering licence in any provence"

ANYONE can apply for an engineering licence at any time, you dont even need a highschool diploma.... the problem is you have to pay alot of money and write about 30 tests that are next to impossible without an accredited engineering education, i suppose that they forgot to mention that part
