Subject: HELP!!!
Is Seneca College worth the money and time. When you graduate is the diploma useful in terms of employment? This is not a joke, I really need to know? How well do Seneca do in the job market compared to other Colleges and Universities. I´m going for business(accounting) by the way. Thanks, appreciate any feed-back.

Unless you are naturally gifted at business and able to hustle, a community College diploma will NOT make you competitive, and will NOT open any doors. Too many others have degrees and/or MBAs.

That said, remember that many people are successful without any post-secondary education. But, prima facie, you don´t stike me as one of those people.

College is good for trade-type jobs and technician type stuff. Stuff that is very narrow in its focus.

DO NOT go to a college for business, it will not open any doors. You will not be competitive compared to those who went to university with a degree in business or grad school for business. Your diploma will not mean a single thing to employers. Go to college if you want something hands on, but for business, which is not hands on, go to university. Going to Seneca for business will mean one thing.......................doom. i know someone who actually goes to seneca for accounting. they honestly will have a tough time finding employment. if i were an employer i would only hire university grads to be perfectly honest with you. and those that can from more respectable universities woould be a better choice

Going to Seneca will guarantee one thing:
...
...
...
A job that leads to $7/hour or less.
...
...
...
Good job for being so dumb.

A business degree is worthless, trust me.

It does not matter where you get it, its worthless.

You cannot teach someone to be a manager.

My advice is to do well in your accounting courses and get your CA.

i can tell that most of the jokers on this forum havent had much exposure in the workforce...

Holding business degrees in managing or marketing do not give future employers much incentive to hire you over anyone else.... BUT holders of accounting and finace degrees have skill that is viable to the job market. University graduates have a bit of an edge of college graduates for accounting, but dont worry there are still alot of college grads who end up bossing around university graduates. Thats said... MBA´s are on a whole different level and blow away either... My advice to you is stay at senica and just get your CA after, its not very hard to pass the tests for CFA or CA, alot of college grad are able to do it without any university education

How can you compare community College to University?

Provided all else is equal, a College grad can´t come close to competing with a University grad. Graduating from College is hardly a big deal. Most programs are like 2 years, and it´s friggin easy!

guess what, graduating form university isnt a big deal either, especially for business. BUISNESS IS EASY. There i said it...

Employers are going to look for the best and most professional canidate for a job, and if a college accounting grad has proven himself to be the best then that is who will get hired. There is no "but WOW this guy graduated from university!! im so impressed!" DREAM ON

Belive it or not, nobody is impressed with your little university degree, recent university graduates and recent college graduates both know NOTHING. You are not special, you dont have any skills in anything. Until you get work experience you are a fly on the wall.

keep in mind that im a 3rd year engineer in university so im not biased against you or anything. just tellin it liek it is
