Subject: mcgill vs uoft vs canada
i have been reading these arguings between uoft and supposed mcgill student (who sounds too dumb to really go to mcgill).

"mcgill" student can´t refute uoft student´s points and keeps repeating the same stuff. i go to waterloo but i´m more impressed by uoft´s arguments. "mcgill" student looks jealous and childish. uoft student addresses "mcgill´s" points but "mcgill" will not do same.

it is now to painful to watch. i like mcgill and uoft both so please stop this nonsense. and "mcgill" student is obvious that lakehead fucktard or a angry york student.

finally us waterloo students would hire waterloo students first but uoft b4 mcgill. mcgill can´t pretend it has good computer/math/eng degrees or it would compete and win more prizes.

You think the debate was childish and you think you´re all grown-up? Poor baby, did you get teased when you were kid? Do you want a hanky?

Both copied and paste the same thing over and over again. How could you say that the UofT kid was not repeating himself, are you blind? You, sir/madame/baby, are clearly one-sided, do not pretend that you´re not!

If I repeated myself while arguing with that "McGill" kid it was because he was would make the same stupid statements or accusations (in other threads too) and I had to repeat the reasons why what he was saying was completely ridiculous and untrue (even though it was completely obvious to anyone with half a brain)

thanks for the replies. both uoft and "mcgill" keep repeating themsevles but "mcgill" doesn´t answer the uoft´s points.

of course i think waterloo is tops for me and i´m not anybodies sidekick but whatever if that is the best you got. i also know uoft students here can be jackasses but "mcgill"s answers make them look right and him look dumb.

McGill kids response: I felt like I was a parent who constantly had to repeat something to brain-dead child. UofT student could not seem to undertand that having the highest impact factor in 5 categories of science does not translate to overall quality (e.g. 1 1 1 3 5 6, average = 2.8; 2 2 2 2 2 2, average = 2). It was as if I had to hammer this into his thick skull !!!!

In response to UofT kid. Sounds like you had a viscious cycle of the McGill kid trying to drill something into your head repeatedly so that you can understand and you not listening to him, always saying it was ridiculous. Could you not accept that what he had to say had some validity?

There is NO way in hell there are people who actually follow and agree with what this McGill kid is saying. He is saying we don´t understand how to calculate the average of a set of numbers. I understand the math dude, but the figures you gave are made up.

If you´re talking about Thomson ( http://scientific.thomson.com/press/2005/8290754/), UofT ranked first in IMPACT for 5/21 fields, the next highest is Western at 4/21. The only point that has been made is that UofT was the leader for IMPACT in most fields in this study, that´s it. There is no 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. place listed, so we can´t compute and average here. Understand?
