york sucks..it is a fact..through ratings, the number of bitches allocated per square meter and proffessors wise. HOWEVER, those who study...will GET A GOOD DEGREE and get a good job or go to a renowned grad school...as grad school counts most..

AND PLEASE stop criticising other unis or boasting your uni...as theyre all equivilant in some sense...they are not harvards or oxfords...theyre basically all the same!

having a brand name degree opens doors, but the rest is up to you.

thats just it, a brand name degree doesnt open doors... a degree opens doors. Everyone gets out of school and competes for the same entry level positions, employers dont look at a degree and say: "hey this guy is from waterloo, lets make him a supervisor". All universities have excellent records of student employment, we all get jobs. And after your first job its up to you, nobody will even ask you where you graduated from.
