If we can´t get independence and must need to affiliate with an university, we want to associate with the University of Toronto, not York!!

Rotman-Schulich School of Management!!

Osgoode Faculty of Law, University of Toronto!!

UofT would probably beg for York to sell them Schulich and Osgoode as they are superior to Rotman and UofT Law.

Bottom line, Rotman and UofT grads get better jobs and make more money then Schulich and Osgoode grads. Therefore, Rotman, UofT law > Schulich, Osgoode.

^ Biased observations.

Those students admitted into Rotman have already made higher salaries. The median age, working experience are also higher than Schulich too. But in terms of the percentage increase of salary after having an MBA from Schulich is FAR better than Rotman.

Financial Times Ranks
Schulich School of Business Number One in Canada
and Among World??s Top 20 Schools

TORONTO, ON ?V Monday, January 30, 2006 ?V The Financial Times of London today ranked the Schulich School of Business at York University number one in Canada and among the top 20 schools in the world. The Financial Times of London ranking is widely considered to be the most comprehensive, respected and authoritative MBA ranking in the world.

Schulich ranked 18th overall in the 2006 Financial Times global survey, just behind a group that includes Kellogg, Berkeley, and Michigan, and ahead of UCLA, Duke, and the University of North Carolina.

Among Canadian schools, Schulich ranked number one, ahead of the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, in 24th place, and the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, in 31st place. Among North American schools, Schulich ranked 13th, and among non-US schools, Schulich ranked 6th overall.

Today??s Financial Times ranking confirms the findings of three other global surveys published within the past five months that have rated Schulich the number one school in Canada. The Economist (Economist Intelligence Unit), Forbes, and the Aspen and World Resources Institutes all ranked Schulich number one in Canada in their respective surveys of the world??s top MBA programs.

Yorkie,

That article doesn´t say mention anything about Schulich grads making more money or having a bigger increase in salary than Rotman grads. It just lists the figures for Schulich.

Value for money, maybe. Rotman is pretty expensive. Either way, Schulich is good, and ranks well, but in the business world, employers seem to prefer Rotman over York.
