A few reasons:
1) I am in Animal Behaviour @ UofT. Trent has a Conservation Specialist program that interests me.
2) I am SICK of the city. I´m from a small town originally.
3) I can volunteer @ the zoo in Peterborough, although it´s not much. I can´t get to the Metro Toronto Zoo from where I live, it´s about 1/2 hour drive & I don´t have a car.

I´m just wondering what people think of Trent. I´ve never been to the campus, but hear it´s nice.

i applied there myself as a third pick, ended up where you are right now, uoft. trent´s campus is pretty nice. student population is lower so it´s easier to get to know your profs/peers. and if you like small cities then peterborough is for you. it´s a great university with great programs. like i said i would stick with uoft, but trent is great too. and the thing that trent prides itself on is that it´s grads almost always gets employed within 6 months after graduation. good luck with your decision.

Thanks.
What made you choose UofT over Trent? (UTSG, UTS, or UTM?)

well, it´s closer to home, and i just believe it has the better program when it comes to business. but don´t get me wrong trent has a good business program as well. it´s just too far. what was your entering average? so yeah, a major factor of my decision are distance.

My entering average was 86%. But I´ve finished my first year there and will start 2nd in September, if I choose to stay.

i would strongly advise you to stay at uoft (which campus by the way). it is more established. but if you strongly feel that you want to go to trent, then go for it and don´t let others tell you otherwise. im sure you´ll make the right decision in the end. :)
