Subject: why uoft has high acceptance rate
do you know why this figure is so high? well, i?ll tell you. this universitiy accepts people with high averages. people with low averages, usually below 80, hardly apply here because they know they will get rejected, this is a fact. so the university has applicants with mostly high averages and they are such a massive university they have the room to accept most (the people with high averages) so if people with lower averages apply then the acceptance rate will go down. but these people know that they won?t get in so only the people with high averages apply, most get in this is why its so high.....there settled? if you still don?t get this then you must be some dumb high school kid or a lakeheader.

lakehead university gets all low mark people so they usually have to reject some, and they don´t have the room as well. the average entering grade at lakehead is probably like a negative 50% this is considered awesome at lakehead

The average entering grade to get into U of T is 85% which is not hard to achieve since Ontario high schools suffer from grade inflation.

oh believe me, there are "SO" many people who struggle to even get above 80% averages. 85% is impossible for many, many people. luckily it was easy for me as well.

didn´t ryerson have like a 11% acceptance rate this past year? or the year before? does that mean that ryerson is the best university in canada? hell no. it´s because so many people applied with low averages knowing that ryerson is not selective.

on the other hand, only top students apply to uoft because the y know uoft has a higher cut-off. regardless, uoft does not have an acceptance rate of 90%. in fact, it´s not even close to 90%, it somewhere around 50%, 60% - the same as all the top tier universities in canada.

if you want to see the acceptance rate numbers, do some research. but, keep in mind that macleans has never published acceptace rates, only average entering grades.

High acceptance, low quality education (in reply to: why uoft has high acceptance rate)
University of PEI will accept anyone, they concentrate on recruitment and do not consider quality of their education programs. Their grad programs, Education degrees, are poor quality and everyone passes so they can retain the students (and tuition monies). There needs to be an overall agency where this can be reported as they do not follow any policies, including thesis policies, fair treatment policies, plagerism is common, non-payment of grants, breaking guidelines of research studies has been reported but concealed. Basically high acceptance, poor quality- beware
