^ are you joking?

You need to do some research and talk to law students, profs, etc. UofT law is by far the most reputable and most selective law school in Canada.

Seriously, do some reading.

Why do all our nations leaders choose UofT law? Why did our last PM choose UofT law? Why did our mayor, David Miller, choose UofT and not Osgoode? The man is a Harvard grad, surely he would have chosen the best.

UofT Law SHAME!! (in reply to: Top Unis of Canada (Some fields))
The fraud of UofT´s law students made all Canadian law students look very bad.

In response to recent allegations that U of T law students lied about their marks to prospective employers, Professor Peter Rosenthal asked ?What?s really happening in the Faculty of Law?? Professor Rosenthal apparently thinks that the blame lies with those mean ol? Bay Street law firms for leaving these poor, stressed-out students no choice but to lie. This is the old, ?the devil made me do it? defense that is so popular with those who reject the concept of personal responsibility.

I disagree with Professor Rosenthal?s assessment. I believe that, like their honest classmates, these students had a choice. They chose to lie. It is unfortunate that it was apparently a law professor who suggested this course of action but ultimately these students are responsible for their participation in this fraud.

As for an investigation into Professor Denise Reaume?s role in this mess, Dr. Rosenthal suggests, ?This was absurd. The facts were clear, and Professor Reaume was blameless.? If that is true, then that is what an investigation will conclude. What is truly absurd is that Professor Rosenthal, a law professor, would expect the administration to jump to this conclusion without first investigating to determine the relevant facts. If Professor Reaume did indeed suggest to the students that they lie, as Professor Rosenthal?s article indicates, then perhaps this was a contributing factor and therefore she is not blameless.

Professor Rosenthal?s suggestion that it is somehow ?appropriate and honourable? to encourage students to lie troubles me. I hope, for the sake of our justice system, that this is not indicative of a larger trend in the U of T law school to teach students to view the truth as a inconvenience to be disregarded at will.

Just because UofT is older doesn´t mean that York will never catch up. Why don´t you compare UofT´s prestige with the Ivies in the States? That would be more of a fair comparison.
The only problem is that in the states you guys are nobody´s.

BTW David Miller is the biggest fuckin moron on the planet, and Paul Martin is "scandal magnet" who steals from the poor and gives to the rich (robin hood in reverse). I wouldn´t be too proud of their accomplishments. Much like UofT, they lack credibility.
