Subject: Laurentian University
Ive heard that after like 40 years of kind of a low end university, laurentian was picking up its pace to start competeing with the likes of queens and western and other prestigious schools.

Laurentian just opened a campus for the medical school in 2003. Built one of the only existing neutrino labs in the world 8000 feet underground in creaton mine, and they are adding 2 new engineering programs: in mechantronics, and in automation

Laurentian is home to East Campus of Canada´s newest medical school in over 30 years- the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. The West Campus is located at Lakehead in Thunder Bay.

Prior to anouncement of the new med school, I never even heard of Laurentian.

UofT is stagnant? Can you see that from Sudbury too?

I don´t know much about Laurentian except the fact they are one the few Canadian universities that do archaeological digs in the Middle East - Jordan, IIRC.
